SanitizeUpload

Package Description

The SanitizeUpload plugin sanitizes the name of any file uploaded in the manager.

While uploads are checked for the right type and size by default in MODx, they are not checked for web-save filenames. Often, I get clients reaching out to ask "why doesn't my image display" or "all my files disappeared from the manager!". With this (very simple) plugin, that's a thing of the past.

All uploaded files are renamed to replace any non-alphanumeric/period/dash/underscore characters with an underscore.

Usage/Installation Instructions

Just install the extra to have the uploaded filenames sanitized.
