Package Description

Disqus is one of the largest and most well known comment systems on the Web. It is used by many popular websites. I created this extra in order to manage Disqus in ModX very easily. Therefore, I create two modes:

• Basic: Use Disqus as your common discussion platform
• Advanced: Use Disqus as your common discussion platform as well as use the comments for Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

LudwigDiscus is using in the advanced mode Micro Data (like RDFa or Microformats), which is a form of semantic mark-up designed to describe elements on your website. I optimized this Extra for the Item Type schema.org/Comment in order to optimize the comments for search engines. Hence, a snippet will import all your comments from Disqus to the ModX database in a regularly way by using a CronJob.
