Locator

Package Description

Returns country information in ISO 3166 format for either a supplied IP address or the incoming URL IP address. Fields returned are 2 and 3 letter country codes, the country name and the MODX country identifier as defined in the countries.inc files. An error code is also returned if the lookup failed.

This is intended for use on form based pages where country auto-detection is required, especially in the case where the country is being stored in the MODX User tables.

This is a simple table lookup, no web service or DNS interaction is performed.
